PRODUCT ALERTBARN REDBARN RED PURCHASED PRIOR TO DECEMBER 19, 2007Barn Red is one of our new can format wines released in Sept 2007. It has been received with much interest and praise.Unfortunately, it has come to our attention that some Barn Red cans have expanding bags, probably due to an unrecognized problem during bagging. Although it is a small percentage of cans, it is a significant concern. All of us at Paradocx are proud of the quality of our wine and are extremely concerned with what appears to be an isolated problem in a particular batch of Barn Red. This is not a problem with other Paradocx wines. These cans would have been purchased prior to December 19, 2007. If you have purchased or received one of these cans and it is still unopened please take the time to look at the can and see if it shows signs of bulging at the lid or sides. If you do not notice any signs, the wine is probably fine, but we would suggest that you return it for a replacement can. If you notice bulging it is best to remove the wine from the bag. To do this, remove the foil from the spout and drain the wine into the sink. Some lids have been pushed from the can, which is a concern. The lid can propel several feet if enough pressure develops. This has been extremely rare, but please take the time to inspect your can. Do not drink this wine. We ask that you return the can or notify us of the problem. We will replace the can or exchange it for another wine. Regrettably we make this notice, but most importantly we want our customers to be safe and satisfied. We are proud of our wines and we stand behind our wines. We are taking significant steps to completely identify and resolve this issue, so that it is not a concern with any other wine.
